| ‘Star for a Night’ was conceived by Roly Burrows as a talent show for anyone aged above 8 years to appear on stage at the Regent Theatre, Ipswich. ‘Star for a Night’ is a variety show showcasing the best talent in Suffolk. As Chairman of Bucklesham Community Council, Roly has been involved with directing amateur dramatic shows for over 10 years, along with organising fundraising events resulting in substantial sums for the local community and charities. |
| ‘Star for a Night’ has already received an enormous amount of support from individuals and businesses including BBC Radio Suffolk and The Ipswich Star who have agreed to become our media partners. All of this help is invaluable in order to maximise the monies raised. |
| Auditions will decide the best combination for the show and those who are successful to go on to perform in the “Star for a Night” event. The auditions will be held at Martlesham Leisure near Ipswich (during February 2012) courtesy of Manager David Taylor, who has agreed to provide support in underwriting the event. However, the real winner will be a selection of local charities, as all proceeds will be donated to these - further details later . . . |
